Andrea Vasi (1989) was born to a musical, Romanian-Dutch family. At age ten she was accepted to the School for Your Talent at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. She continued her Bachelor and Master studies at the same institute under Ellen Corver and finished her degree cum laude.
Already during her education, she won prizes at prestigious competitions, like the Steinway Competition (solo), the Princess Christina Competition (chamber music) and the International Vocalist Competition (as art song accompanist). As a result, she toured the entire world, solo as well as in chamber music ensembles and orchestras.
She forms a duo with trombonist Sebastiaan Kemner: they performed in all great music halls in The Netherlands as finalists of the Dutch Classical Talent tour, and multiple composers wrote musical pieces for them (among which Theo Verbey, Thomas van Dun and Trevor Grahl).
Besides her work as performing artist she completed the Pabo (Bachelor of Education) at the Hogeschool InHolland The Hague, a Master-degree Religious Studies (with area of study Buddhist Studies) at the University of South Wales. After having worked in India and Bhutan, she works again in The Netherlands. At the moment she works as freelance performing artist and teacher, she is piano coach at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and teacher at the CON de Wereldschool in Schiedam.
