Daniel Bolba

Dániel Bolba is a Portuguese-Hungarian percussionist currently in
lives in Amsterdam.
Dániel is a young soloist who is ambitious in commissioning new works
repertoire for percussion and is a pioneer in combining live electronics
with percussion. He has had the opportunity to perform at several major festivals
The Netherlands and Europe to play festivals such as Words and Music festival, Uitmarket
Festival, TROMP Eindhoven Festival, Grachten Festival, Sounds of Music,
MadeiraDig/Digital in Berlin, Ravenna Festival, and much more.


Dániel has had the opportunity to perform with ensembles such as
AskoISchönberg (NL), Remix Ensemble (PT), Amsterdam Modern Orchestra (NL),
Ensemble Intercontinental (NL) and had the honor of playing as a soloist with it
Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon and with Madeira Island’s Classical Orchestra.


He is the winner of numerous international competitions, most notably 1st prize in the
Tomarimbando Competition (2015); 1st prize in the Beira Interior International
Percussion Competition (2017); 1st Prize in the Lagos International Competition
(2017); Honorable mention in the “Grachten Concour Conservatorium” competition
(2022); semi-finalist of the international percussion competition “TROMP” (2022); 1st
place in the Portuguese Prize for Young Musicians (2023). Daniel is too
grant holder of the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation – Benelux
