Remko de Jager

Remko de Jager (1971) has studied the trombone with George Wiegel at the Rotterdams Conservatorium. He obtained his diploma  in 1998 cum laude. 

Since 1997, Remko is a member of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, where he plays tenor and bass trombone. He is also a member of the New Trombone Collective.

Remko works at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he teaches tenor- and bass trombone and methodic for brass. 

He has given masterclasses in South Korea (2009) and Bulgaria (2022)

Furthermore, he is a conductor of a windband: Fanfare Kunst na Arbeid in Purmerend and he coaches young brass players, such as The National Youth Orchestras of The Netherlands and the Young Trombone Collective.

Remko plays trombones by Adams Brass.
