Inspired by the great trombonists but shaped by their own musical backgrounds, they are now pursuing their own sound. TINASE, or This Is Not A Saxophone Ensemble, is an exciting new jazztrombone collective with rhythm section. Expect melodic explorations to energetic grooves. With their rich sound and innovative arrangements, they present the trombone in a unique way. Renowned trombonist Marshall Gilkes was so impressed by this ensemble that he couldn’t resist a collaboration. Together, they will release an album in the fall of 2024, but expect a taste of this promising collaboration during this concert.
