Trombone orchestra shakes Rotterdam to its foundations
Playing along in a mega trombone ensemble. Who would not want that?!
Workshop participants, Mr. pBone, amateurs, students and the festival artists together form the Mega Trombone Orchestra. After 1 short rehearsal, the orchestra of more than 100 trombonists will play together. A guaranteed spectacle on the Schouwburgplein.
Pelle van Esch composed a new piece especially for this orchestra, suitable for all possible playing levels. So everyone can participate!
It will certainly be an overwhelming and unique concert for the audience or the casual passer-by. Junior Huigen, who is a successful conductor in the windband sector, will lead the mega-trombone ensemble.

Take your trombone to the festival and play in the Mega Trombone Orchestra. The rehearsal is at 1:15 PM in De Doelen and the performance is at 2:00 PM at Schouwburgplein.

There is also a special opportunity for children/partners/neighbors/friends/acquaintances/coincidental passers-by to participate. You can report for this at Schouwburgplein from 1 p.m. Mr pBone will then give a workshop on orange pBones (orange for this occasion, due to the European Championship competition that is also taking place this afternoon). This group will also have a special role in the concert!
